Tech stuff I use

Reading Time: 1 minute

These 3 are the best tech investments I probably ever will make for a long time

Dell U2412M 24″ 1920×1200 E-IPS monitor

  • Love the 16:10 aspect ratio, pretty rare this days
  • Higher vertical resolution great for programming/reading
  • Colour depth is better than average

Unicomp Spacesaver 104 mechanical keyboard

  • Spiritual successor of the famous IBM Model M
  • Extremely noisy

Logitech G400 mouse

  • Re-release of the Logitech MX518
  • Hope it will be durable enough

My rig:

  • Intel i5-4570 3.2Ghz 6MB cache
  • Gigabyte Nvidia GTX 650 OC 2GB DDR5
  • Gigabyte Z87-D3HP-CF motherboard
  • 2x8GB DDR3-1600 Kingston RAM
  • 240GB Crucial M500 SSD
  • 500GB WDC Blue
  • 520W Seasonic PSU

In case you are curious,  I don’t overclock my machine in order to maximise its lifespan. In fact, I run without Turbo Boost by default.

I don’t go for the latest and greatest because of affordability limits and that machines depreciate quickly. I prefer to spend abit more on user-oriented fundamentals shown at the top that will stay with me for a long time.

    Hey
I ran into this blog after keyboard review.
I ended up reading some of your posts.
Just wanted to say you seem like a very interesting guy.
    Keep it up!
